Georgian Law Firms Association held a Business Lunch
On June 27, 2014, at 13:00, the Georgian Law Firms Association held a business lunch with the members of the association at Courtyard Marriot Hotel. The main topic of the meeting was the conclusion of the pro bono memorandum. It was the first time in Georgia that 20 law firms agreed on the fulfillment of pro bono activity pursuant to which the firms should provide the free of charge legal services to the citizens in consideration of their resources and possibilities. At the business meeting the Association concluded the memorandum with the Georgian-American University for the purpuse of future cooperation and for the implementation of educational programs, trainings, conferences, student practice program and of other activities. The Association as well concluded the memorandum with the Georgian Bar Association. Mamuka Akhvlediani, the head of the Tbilisi City Court, made a presentation on the electronic case proceeding.
