Training in Tax Law for Legal Aid lawyers in Kutaisi

On December 3, Association of Law Firms of Georgia held the following training in Tax Law for Legal Aid lawyers in Kutaisi. Training was held by Mr. Akaki Chargeishvili, ALFG expert in Tax Law, managing partner of the law firm “Chargeishvili Law Inn”.

Association of Law Firms of Georgia continues conducting trainings for Legal Aid lawyers on civil law topics. Geographical coverage of trainings’ includes the east and west parts of Georgia. The survey, conducted by Legal Aid Service among employees, identified that Legal Aids lawyers need to improve the capacity and legal knowledge in the expanded mandate in the following areas of civil law: Family Law, Inheritance Law, Contract Law Tax Law, Company Law, Civil Procedural Law (civil proceedings at the first instance court). Trainings in Family Law, Inheritance Law and Tax law have been held during the past four months.

Trainings are held with the support of the UN Joint Programme: “Enhancing Access to Justice and Development of a Child-Friendly Justice System in Georgia”, which is jointly operated by the United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF) and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and funded by the European Union.
