ALGF Proceeds with the Sessions on the Practical Course of Construction Law

The Association of Law Firms of Georgia persists to hold meetings over the practical course of Construction Law. The third meeting that was organized on January 26, 2021, focused on the discussion over property rights within the bounds of Construction Law issues. Notably: negative and positive obligation of the state; constitutional-legal and civil-legal content of property; Social Bonding Theory of property; a test for Constitutional Court – lawful (legitimate) purpose and principle of proportionality; Case Law; expropriation; a three-part test of Assessment by the European Court.

 

The meeting was chaired by Alexander Kamushadze, Director of the GLCC Law Firm, a member of ALGF, and Nikoloz Abutidze, Executive Director of JG Counselors. The session was held online and was attended by 14 practicing lawyers from law firms and construction companies.

 

The practical course in Construction Law is organized by the Association of Law Firms of Georgia through a mutual coordination with GLCC.
