Meeting with the Georgian Network for Human Rights (GNHR) representatives
On July 23, 17:00 pm, attorney members of Association of Law Firms of Georgia(ALFG) met with representatives from the non-governmental organization Georgian Network for Human Rights ( GNHR) at the ALFG’s office.
GNHR conducts an analytical-researching project “Juries in Criminal Law Process” with the support of Open Society Georgia Foundation. The GNHR representatives introduced ALFG attorney members with the information about the aforementioned project. The ALFG Attorneys shared their opinion towards reasoned verdict related problems. Other issues were also discussed at the meeting, such as conformity of the aforementioned issue to the right to fair trial, in particular right to reasoned judgement of the court.
At the end of the meeting, the Georgian Network for Human Rights (GNHR) expressed its readiness to cooperate with ALFG in the future.
