The Association of Law Firms of Georgia held its 7th General Meeting

On June 29, 2021, the Association of Law Firms of Georgia held its seventh General Meeting at the Sheraton Grand Tbilisi Metekhi Palace Hotel. Within the framework of the General Meeting, the chairman of the association, Zviad Kordzadze, presented the report from the past two years, talked about the current projects, future development, and prospects of activities of ALFG.

The meeting elected one member of the governing body – board , instead of the excluded member, for the remaining one year. Only one candidate, Gia Zedelashvili, the director of the law firm, Zedelashvili&Advocates Group LTD, was nominated. He was elected with the full support of the ALFG genuine members represented at the General Meeting..

The meeting also discussed and received an amendment in the statute,  related to the admission of a new law firm as an associate member of ALFG. Under this change, ALFG can now have both genuine and associate member law firms.

At the end of the General Meeting, successful graduates of Construction Law were awarded the certificates and the titles of Construction Law Specialist on behalf of ALFG. Following individuals received the status as a result of the final examination of the training course:

The practical course of Construction Law was conducted by the Association of Law Firms of Georgia in cooperation with  law firm GLCC (genuine member of ALFG) and led by trainers Aleksandre Kamushadze and Nikoloz Abutidze.
