Training in a Practical Course in the Context of Insolvency Proceedings
On October 17 of this year, the financial support of GIZ, made it possible to initiate the training for the first stream of lawyers of the Association of Law Firms of Georgia (ALFG) within the practical course on insolvency proceedings (Part I).
The training module had been prepared inside of the project “Improving Georgian Commercial Law and Practice” co-financed by the EU and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). It is greatly adapted to the provisions of the New Law of Georgia on “Rehabilitation and Collective Satisfaction of Creditors” and is the initial step in acquiring basic knowledge in the field of insolvency.
The training course consists of four sections and covers a total of 7 days.
On October 17 and 18, 10 lawyers from ALFG attended the training in the initial part of the training course. The first part was run by GIZ trainer, Judge Ketevan Meskhishvili.
The training of the first stream of ALFG lawyers will come to an end on November 7, the short-listed second stream of lawyers will commence from November 14.
Taken as a whole, a total of 20 ALFG lawyers will be trained in October-November within the ambits of an insolvency proceedings course.
