Training in the practical course of insolvency proceedings
With the financial support of GIZ, training for the second group of lawyers of the Association of Law Firms of Georgia commenced on March 15th of this year. This training was for a practical course in insolvency proceedings.
The training module was created in the frames of the project “Improvement of the Commercial Justice and Practice in Georgia”, co-funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). It is in complete accordance with the decrees regulated by the new “Law of Georgia On Rehabilitation and the Collective Satisfaction of Creditors’ Claims” and represents the first step of acquiring basic knowledge in the field of insolvency.
The training course consists of four parts and covers 7 days in total, March 15th 2021 to March 21st.
The training course is led by GIZ experts: Ketevan Meskhishvili, Giorgi Batlidze, Nana Amisulashvili and Sergi Jorbenadze.
10 ALFG lawyers took part in the training course, who were pre-selected.
In October-November of 2020, a similar training course was conducted for 10 ALFG pre-selected lawyers (1st group). In total, with the financial support of GIZ, 20 lawyers will be trained in the frames of insolvency proceedings course.
The training is held in a physical environment, at Holiday Inn, in compliance with all the regulations of Covid-19.
