Workshop in Intellectual Property Law

On  September 17, 2015,  the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) of the United States Department of Commerce  held a training in Intellectual Property Law for ALFG  member lawyers at the hotel “Holiday Inn“.

Training was held by the invited experts in Intellectual Property Law: Joshua Kaufman, Partner, Chair of Copyright & Licensing Group, Venable LLP and Douglas Halijian, Member, Burch, Porter & Johnson PLLC.

Workshop  included the copyright and trademarks law issues, including overlapping the trademark and copyright cases, the so-called “grey” trademarks related disputes, calculation of damages and imposing provisional measures.

Participants shared their knowledge and experience of US and Georgian legislation, which will help to develop their future activities and improve their qualification.
